Cant Swing On Iphone 6 plus

This used to be my favorite game. When I got my 6+, the swing function no longer worked.
The work around is to select double tap. Unfortunately, the double tap is unreliable and at least once a game it costs me a shot - so playing for my best gets sabotaged. Instead of it being fun and relaxing, it is frustrating and disappointing.
